We finally can offer a wireless system using out twin lens CCD reversing camera. It is achieved by using a wireless bridge with a built in switch operated by the reversing light. This will need a wire running down to the positive of the reversing light and also an ignition switched 12v. The mirror monitor clips onto the interior mirror and is hard wired in using a 3 m wiring loom. This is long enough to reach behind the drivers seat on most vans. We use a monitor that is the best quality we have found with a nice bright colour LCD panel. The reversing camera gives a clear colour image during the day. Its night time performance depends on the IR LEDs for reversing and can benefit from stronger white lights to illuminate an area enough to give a colour image. Helpful if you are reversing a motorhome as walls and grass in black and white are hard to tell apart. I speak from experience! The always on camera at night is useful in areas with street lighting, but once you are out in the unlit countryside I tend to turn it off. If there is no light it cannot show an image.
