AHD rearview monitors

AHD monitors can be split into two types. Hybrid monitors which can usually show the picture from AHD reversing cameras and also CVBS reversing cameras. Dedicated AHD monitors can only show the picture from AHD reversing cameras. They can sometimes have a third dedicated CVBS channel. There is a growing trend of AHD monitors with built in SD card recorders. We are testing these at the moment, but our experience of built in recorders has not been very positive. We still believe a dedicated recorder is the best option. AHD monitors and cameras can be 720P, 960P or 1080P. Some AHD cameras will not work with a monitor is the resolution is different. It is one reason why we are waiting before we fully adopt AHD.
