Delivery Information
Mainland UK
There are three options:
1. We use Royal Mail Tracked for most of our deliveries. 90% of the time these arrive next day on orders made before 12:30PM. It is an affordable reliable service. It is the main service we use for BT postcodes plus Highlands and Islands.
2. For most of mainland UK we offer a 2 day courier service using DPD Local. They have been our delivery partners for years and again they are reliable. Orders before 12.30 pm will usually go out the same day and are delivered within 2 working days (Mon-Fri exc. Bank holidays).
3. DPD next day delivery. If you order before 12:30pm your order goes to the front of the queue to allow it to go out the same day. Baring circumstances beyond our control the parcel should be delivered next working day (Mon-Fri exc. Bank holidays).
4. For international deliveries we use a variety of couriers depending on your location. International orders may be subject to tax and handling charges. For some destinations it is now possible to pay these in advance and we can invoice you for these charges if you wish.
Highlands and Islands UK
Delivery can take up to 3 working days. Depending on weight and location we will either send with Parcel Force or Royal Mail Tracked (never one of the budget couriers).
Europe
European delivery can between a couple of days to a couple of weeks and can be sent one of a number of ways depending on the country and weight/value. As of the 1st January 2021 we will remove UK VAT as you progress through the checkout and you will be charged your own countries VAT on entry to your country, there may also be admin charges. There are countries in Europe such as Germany where we are unable to send goods.
Channel Islands
Channel Islands delivery tends to take between a couple of days to a week and can be sent one of a number of ways depending on weight/value. The VAT will be removed on checkout.
Outside of Europe
Try our checkout for a delivery quote based on the items you wish, if nothing comes up then we may not be able to deliver to your country. It is worth giving us an email to see if we can get a custom courier quote, or workout how to make the order lighter to get the parcel within airmail weights.
Can I have my package left in a safe place?
Some of our couriers allow you to select to leave the parcel with a neighbour or in a safe place on your property. If you select this option, you are taking responsibility for that parcel, and even if you requested a specific place and it was left elsewhere on your property, neither the courier nor ourselves can be held liable for any losses that arise. The responsibility for the consignment becomes your responsibility once the courier has confirmed delivery either to yourselves, your neighbour or a safe place location. If this is a concern then we recommend not selecting either option if the courier offers them (they usually offer a pickup from local store option that would be safer if you aren't going to be in).
Why don't we offer free delivery?
To offer free delivery means the delivery costs need to be hidden inside the product prices. To avoid people ordering more than one item effectively being double charged for postage we keep our prices low and charge delivery during checkout. We keep the delivery prices down as low as possible to avoid making any profit on the delivery free. Our Royal Mail Tracked offers a low cost option which is often next day.
