Digital Wireless

We now have an increasing range of digital wireless systems. Wireless appeals to people as it avoids the need to run a long wire from front to back in a vehicle. With wireless though you still need to get power to the camera which means running a wire to the rear light cluster. One complication of this is modern CANBUS systems that object to current draws on lighting circuits. Another possible problem is on modern vehicles they have cut the gauge of wire used as an economy measure. However the great benefit of wireless is when you are towing a trailer or caravan. A modern relay for the towing electrics will interface with any CANBUS system and give a reliable 12V source to power the camera. Modern digital wireless will work over the length of an articulated lorry so a car and trailer is no problem.
