This is the very latest dual lens reversing camera to fit the Ford Transit Van. The brake light cameras are very popular as they do not require holes to be drilled in your van. It makes installation a lot simpler as a result.
The one lens is pointing down to give a good view of the rear of the van both during the day and at night. It has a wide angled lens fitted to cover the complete rear of the van and also see a short distance back down the road. The direction the camera points has a small 20 degree adjustment to get the optimal view. The second lens points back down the road to be used as an always on rear view camera. When the product was being developed we encouraged the manufacturer to adjust the design to give better adjustment on this camera. We also asked for the camera to have a narrow angled view so it give a better perception of distance. This lens does not have IR LEDs as they are not effective on cameras looking into the distance. It does use a modern CMOS sensor that is very sensitive to light, so as long as there are street lights you should get good night vision.
