Brake light cameras are a popular option due to their ease of fitting. They simply replace the existing brake light so there is no need for a hole to be drilled for the cable. This model was designed to fit VW Transporter T5 vans built from 2003-2015 with a single tailgate. The camera is waterproof to IP69K and has a 1/3 inch 700 TVL CMOS sensor. We find these modern CMOS sensors give a sharp colour image during the day which is comparable with the more expensive CCD models. They use a glass lens with a 170 degree viewing angle to cover the whole of the rear of the vehicle.
The camera has a short fly lead going to a 4 pin aviation connector. You can add a suitable extension cable using the drop down menu. If the camera is being used with an aftermarket head unit then you can also select a 4 pin to RCA adaptor for the job.
