This is a heavy duty trailer link for use with HGV. Normally a trailer link comes with 5m of cable at the front and 20m of cable at the rear. The problem with this is if the sockets get damaged it can mean you have to re-wire it to replace. This trailer link only has 1m of cable front and back so you can add cable of the required length. Replacing a socket then becomes easy as it is just a straight forward disconnect.
