This is a dual 12v or 24v monitor with a 7 inch colour TFT screen. It uses the latest digital high resolution LCD panel giving 800 x 480 pixels. Being a digital panel it offers greater picture clarity especially when used with CCD reversing cameras. It is unusual to find this design with the 4 pin connectors to the cameras. It can take up to 2 cameras and provides them with power via the 4 core cable. The monitor has reverse polarity protection and over-voltage protection which also protects the cameras attached. The power board to the monitor is external which is a great advantage as it is cheap and easy to replace if there are any problems. It is very easy to make a system with this monitor as all you need is the camera, 4 pin cable and monitor. It simply plugs together and all runs off the monitor power supply. We can adapt these to run off a lighter plug on 12v vehicles if required.
We stock a limited range of metal brackets to fit these monitors. You can select the bracket you want using the drop down menu. It is wise to check carefully the stub attached to your windscreen as occassionally they can be different. This is especially true if your windscreen has been replaced. The stubs are usually covered by a plastic or rubber protector if a mirror has not been fitted. We have found you cannot rely on which vehicle these fit so we are slowly adding photographs and dimensions of the mounts.
The bracket for the Fiat Ducato and Peugeot Boxer is for the more recent vans. These use a mirror that turns to remove it. Older versions use a bracket that lifts off once the locking screw is loosened.
Please note we may have one part brackets or two part brackets depending on stocks. They both do the same job.
We now have suitable brackets for older Fiat and Peugeot vans. We also have a universal mount available. We hope to update the web site in the next few days to show these options.
We are slowly building up a collection of brackets to got with our MON293B mirror monitor. It is always best to check the mounting plate on the window to make sure it is the correct one. You cannot always go by the manufacturer and in some cases the original plate might have been removed if the windscreen has been replaced. If there is no mounting plate then our universal bracket comes with a mounting plate. We advise getting professional help to glue it to the windscreen.
