The CAM801 gives a surprisingly good image considering its size. It is designed for the bracket to slip behind the number plate so the camera is located just above it. The metal bracket can be bent down to adjust the angle the camera is pointing. It solves one of the problems of finding a suitable camera to fit a car. It gives a high resolution day time colour image. At night any view will depend on the amount of street lighting and the brightness of your vehicle lights.
Rear View Mirror Mounting Options Information
In the Mirror Mount Options dropdown menu, you can select from the available mounting choices. By default, the clip-over mirror option is selected. If you choose a windscreen bracket mount, you'll receive an alternative version of the mirror monitor with the selected bracket.
The monitor itself remains the same in terms of specification; the only difference is the mounting style. The default clip-over type has strong spring-loaded clips, whereas the windscreen bracket version features screw holes on the back to accommodate the chosen bracket.
Browse the list below to find the right bracket for your vehicle. If you need assistance or require a mounting option not listed, please get in touch.
Clip-Over Mirror Option
The clip-over mirror monitor is designed to attach securely over your vehicle's original interior mirror. It features strong spring-loaded clamps with rubber feet to provide a firm grip on the OEM mirror.
This design is compatible with most vehicles, with the exception of a few exceptionally large American RV mirrors.
ACCMB1 Option
This option is found on some Mercedes Sprinter vans with a hexagonal-shaped metal windscreen mounting plate. Please note that the ACCMB5 bracket is more often seen for the Sprinter van (see further down this list for more details). Vehicles with the hexagonal plate are typically those equipped with automatic lights or automatic windscreen wipers.
If you select this option, we will provide you with the bracket that twists onto the hexagonal plate, along with the appropriate version of the mirror monitor.
ACCMB2 Option
This bracket is typically found on Ford vehicles, such as the Transit vans. If you select this option, we will provide you with a bracket that slides onto the original metal windscreen mounting plate and locks into place.
ACCMB2 + Button + Glue Option
If you have a vehicle with no metal mounting plate on the windscreen but still wish to have a windscreen-mounted mirror monitor, this option is for you. We will provide the Ford bracket with the mounting plates it fits to, as well as Loctite 319 mirror mounting adhesive. Full instructions on how to achieve the best bond are included.
The Loctite 319 adhesive will firmly bond the metal plate to the glass of your windscreen. The bracket will then slide down and lock into place, securing the monitor in position.
ACCMB2 + MP35 Option
This bracket fits the hexagonal-shaped mounting plate commonly found on a variety of vehicles, including Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroen Relay, new Vauxhall Movano, new Vauxhall Vivaro, and more. In some cases, this mounting plate may be hidden underneath a cover.
If you order this bracket option, we will provide an adapter mounting plate (MP35) along with a bracket that slides onto the adapter plate and locks into position.
ACCMB3 Option
This bracket fits the Volkswagen metal plate commonly found on vans such as the VW Transporter, VW Crafter, VW Caddy, and some VW cars. Selecting this option will provide you with a bracket that twists 90 degrees and locks the monitor into place.
ACCMB5 Option
This bracket will fit numerous vehicles such as the Mercedes Vito and Mercedes Sprinter. It is also commonly installed in Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Trafic, Renault Master, Nissan NV400, and Vauxhall Movano vans. The bracket slides down the pre-fitted metal plate on the windscreen and locks into position.
ACCMB6 Option
If you select this bracket option, you will be provided with the appropriate screen with the fixing points for the vehicle, as well as a ceiling mount bracket that can be fixed to a sturdy surface above where you wish to position the monitor. This option is ideal for vehicles without any existing mounting points.
ACCMB7 Option
Selecting this option gives you the slide-down bracket that fits the metal mounting plates commonly installed on earlier models of Fiat Ducato, Citroen Relay, Peugeot Boxer, as well as models of all ages of Iveco Daily vans.
ACCMB8 Option
This bracket option fits the slightly rarer mounting plates found on some models of Renault Master, Nissan NV400, Renault Trafic, Vauxhall Vivaro, and Vauxhall Movano vans. The more commonly found version found on these vans is the ACCMB5.
On all of our reversing camera systems we have a wide variety of cable and power options. The information below shows you what each option means.
5m 7.5m 10m 12.5m 15m 20m
These are our standard 4 pin extension cables. These options allow you to select what length you need. They are listed in metres, to get the length in feet simply multiply by 3 to change. Having longer than you need will not affect the picture, any extra cable should be coiled loosely where it cannot get damaged.
10M 8mm link, 12.5M 8mm link, 15M 8mm link
These are our 12.5m or 15m cables with an 8mm link at the front of the cable - designed to disconnect to help running through any tight gaps, then reconnected at the end of the install once you are next to the monitor.

Lighter plug
A lighter plug is a useful aid to testing as system before you fit it. Some people will run their system off a lighter plug instead of hard wiring it in.
Bailey adaptor
We do an adaptor to fit the Waeco cables that are pre-installed in Bailey Motorhomes. It converts their cable into our standard 4 pin ones. We have single camera and dual camera versions.

Stand style bracket

This is useful on our HD series of monitors where a curved dash makes mounting the U-bracket difficult. It also makes it faster and easier to remove the monitor.
Easy wire fuse tap a.k.a "piggyback fuse holders"
These can be used to take power from the fuse board. The earth should be to a point where there is bare metal to the vehicle body. The cable is about 2M long and terminates in a 2.1mm/5.5mm power plug, which fits in to the corresponding socket on the monitor wiring. We stock these in different blade sizes, please select the type of fuse tap that is fitted to your fusebox.
