This matches our 5 inch high resolution colour rear view monitor with our twin lens CCD reversing camera. We have options of white or black bodied camera with cable lengths of 5m, 10m, 12.5m, 15m and 20m. To aid running a wire through a motorhome we do have some lengths of cable with an 8mm disconnect point. These only require a hole of diameter of 8mm - very popular amongst caravan and motorhome owners. The system just requires connecting to a power source as the cameras get their power from the monitor. The MON5001 which forms the basis of the system is ideal where there is limited space on the dash. We have the option to add a stand style bracket. These are useful if you have a curved dash that the U-bracket will struggle to fit. It is easy to remove the monitor from the stand style bracket as you just need to loosen the locking knob. You can then disconnect the monitor and store it off the dash somewhere more secure.
The 8mm disconnect points on the camera are designed to be internal. If they are external it is hard to prevent water getting into the connector. If you wish to run the cable over the roof then please seek advice. We normally have these cameras without the disconnect point.

Camera angles quoted are a calculated measurement based on the focal length of the lens and size of sensor. They are given as a diagonal measurement. When a camera displays on a monitor there is a certain amount of cropping to get the picture to fit. To overcome these issues we have measured the horizontal camera angle with the camera image displayed on a 7" high resolution screen. The angle given may be subject to change between batches so if it is critical then please ask us to double check. When comparing with other web sites please remember the camera angles are often exaggerated.
Our measured horizontal camera angle for the narrow angled lens is 35 degrees and 85 degrees for the wide angled lens.
On all of our reversing camera systems we have a wide variety of cable and power options. The information below shows you what each option means.
5m 7.5m 10m 12.5m 15m 20m
These are our standard 4 pin extension cables. These options allow you to select what length you need. They are listed in metres, to get the length in feet simply multiply by 3 to change. Having longer than you need will not affect the picture, any extra cable should be coiled loosely where it cannot get damaged.
10M 8mm link, 12.5M 8mm link, 15M 8mm link
These are our 12.5m or 15m cables with an 8mm link at the front of the cable - designed to disconnect to help running through any tight gaps, then reconnected at the end of the install once you are next to the monitor.
Lighter plug
A lighter plug is a useful aid to testing as system before you fit it. Some people will run their system off a lighter plug instead of hard wiring it in.
Bailey adaptor
We do an adaptor to fit the Waeco cables that are pre-installed in Bailey Motorhomes. It converts their cable into our standard 4 pin ones. We have single camera and dual camera versions.
Stand style bracket
This is useful on our HD series of monitors where a curved dash makes mounting the U-bracket difficult. It also makes it faster and easier to remove the monitor.
Easy wire fuse tap a.k.a "piggyback fuse holders"
These can be used to take power from the fuse board. The earth should be to a point where there is bare metal to the vehicle body. The cable is about 2M long and terminates in a 2.1mm/5.5mm power plug, which fits in to the corresponding socket on the monitor wiring. We stock these in different blade sizes, please select the type of fuse tap that is fitted to your fusebox.
